Summary: Inspection of harness, cables and electro mechanical assemblies

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspection of all harness, cable and electro mechanical assemblies, first article inspections and crimp inspections.
  • Work with MFG engineering on implementation and maintaining documentation control.
  • Operation and maintenance of cable scan system.
  • Control of all Q.C. related paper work, internal failure reports, inspection logs and cable scan reports.
  • Writing of inspection procedures and test programs.
  • Maintaining and updating ADM workmanship standards.
  • Educate employees on workmanship standards.

Education and/or Experience:
List of requirements including a minimum of High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract; multiply and divide and the ability to perform these operations using decimals and fractions in units of standard or metric measurements, volume and distance.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. Temporarily work in uncomforable positions such as hunched over or with hands and arms over head. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must also be able to operate a variety of hand crimping tools that may require up to 35 pounds of force to execute. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
